A session starts once you dial the short code which last for less than 2 minutes for you to complete your transaction. However the session times out after 20 seconds on inactivity.

General Questions

FINCA is an acronym for the Foundation for International Community Assistance, the organization’s original name. The organization started by supporting the Latin American agriculture sector.

Unfortunately, our services are only available to those within the towns where we operate. This is due to a Central bank of Nigeria regulation that only allows state-licensed MfBs to operate within the state where they are registered.

Currently, we are a state-licensed MfB operating in Imo State. We have branches in Owerri, Naze, Relief Market, Orlu and Mbaise. We also have over 30 FINCA eXpress agents located across Imo state. Click here (http://www.fincanigeria.com/where-we-work/) to view all our locations.

We are open from 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday – Friday. We also have branches that are open on Saturdays from 10:00am – 12:00pm. FINCA eXpress agents are open during their own business hours. We observe bank holidays authorized by the government.

We do not have ATM facilities at the moment.


We offer: Classic Savings Account; EasySaver Savings Account; Instant Savings Account; Aspire Savings Account; Freedom Savings Account; EDUsave Savings Account; and Fixed Deposit Account.

For individuals, requirements include a valid identity card (National Identity Card (NIMC); International Passport; Driver’s License) and utility bills. For companies, the following are required: Certificate of Incorporation/Registration; Memorandum and Articles of Association; and Resolution from Directors/Company form 6.

Interest rates on savings accounts depend on the type of savings account and the prevailing market rate as prescribed by the Central Bank of Nigeria. For a Fixed Deposit Account, the interest rate depends on the amount of money fixed and the time period. The higher the amount and longer the time period, the higher the interest rate and subsequent returns.

With any savings account, one can withdraw as many times as possible and no charges are applied. However, with the Fixed Deposit Account, Aspire Account, Freedom Account and EDUsave Account, one is expected to make a withdrawal after maturity, and rollover is encouraged.


Our loan products include: Individual Loan; Group Loan; School Improvement Loan; School Fees Loan; and Small Enterprise Loan.

Our loan processing speed depends on how quickly you provide the necessary documents. However, you will receive feedback from us within five days after submitting all the necessary documents.

Your regular monthly repayment/installment depends on the approved loan period and loan amount.

An appropriate biweekly or monthly repayment schedule to suit your needs will be advised by your CRO.

The loan amount depends on the type of loan and the borrower’s capacity to repay.

At the moment we do not finance start-up businesses.

At the moment,we do not give salary-based loans.

Our loan assessment is based on your business income. However, you may repay your loan with income from other sources.

For our Individual Loan, the only collateral required are your business assets and household pledges.
For a Group Loan, you do not need collateral.
