Charles started his career with Eurocomm Securities Ltd (a member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange) as Operations officer, after which he joined AB Microfinance Bank (a subsidiary of Access Holding AG of Germany), as a credit officer. He was later redeployed to the Internal Audit function of the bank. He joined FINCA Microfinance bank in 2016 as Internal Auditor and grew to the level of Senior Internal Auditor and currently the Head of Audit/ Corporate Audit Manager.
He holds a degree in Banking & Finance from the Imo State University, an MBA in Accounting and Finance from the Obafemi Awolowo University.
He is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers Nigeria (ACIB), a Microfinance Certified Banker (MCIB). He is also an Associate member of the Chartered Risk Management Institute of Nigeria, a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), a member of Portfolio Management Institute of Nigeria as well as a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management. He is currently pursuing his Certified Risk Manager (CRM) certification
